Sales Manager - Milano (Echo, Ritz, Anderson, Business Palace)

Job Summary


As Sales Manager you will be accountable for proactively soliciting, handling and developing local sales opportunities within the assigned area of responsibility/properties (Echo, Ritz, Anderson, Business Palace).

You will be focusing on specific property-related sales activities to identify and develop business opportunities. You will also be assuring that business is turned over efficiently and effectively to guarantee proper service delivery and to meet the expected budgetary goals. You will also assist the business in leading all day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long-term and value-based customer relationships to meet the set expectations. The position holder will not have any direct reports.

Main Responsibilities


As Sales Manager you will be a strong ambassador of the business and the properties within the assigned portfolio and therefore, you will be expected to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:


  • Managing and developing the hotel customers’ portfolio

  • Liaise with other sales team members or channels to assure that sales efforts are always coordinated and complementary

  • Build solid relationships with new potential customers while strengthening the one with existing customers

  • Develop relationships within the local community areas to strengthen and expand customer base thus generating new sales opportunities (specifically through sales calls on the local territory)

  • Provide support to the Event Departments by identifying and securing possible sales opportunities

  • Execute and support the back office operational and administrative processes (including and not limited to drafting proposals and/or contracts, handling customer correspondence, etc)

  • Service our customers with the highest level of efficiency in order to secure and strengthen share of the account

  • Assure proper after-sales follow-up with customers to obtain supportive feedback on service and product delivery in order to identify and address possible areas of improvement.  

Profile requirements

  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry as Sales Manager
  • Positive attitude, ability to work under pressure and good interpersonal skills
  • Pro-active, self-starter, energetic and highly motivated approach
  • Ability to build solid and long-term professional relationships
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent English communication skills

Please be advised that the selected candidate will be offered a contract with Starhotels at one of our properties in Milan and that the position is not eligible for housing benefits.
